SYBASE Solutions Corp. (Phils.), a provider of enterprise infrastructure and software, recently entered into an agreement with Stradcom Corporation for an upgrade of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) computer system.
The upgrade includes the utilization of Sybase latest tools for application development such as the Sybase Powerbuilder, the Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, the Enterprise Application, and the Sybase Replication Server for a higher transaction database with data replication.
The Sybase Powerbuilder is a rapid applications development that increases developer productivity through tight integration of design, modeling, development, and management. The ASE on the other hand is a powerful data management platform that provides real time services for mission critical, transaction-intensive applications. The Sybase EA server meanwhile increases the flexibility and lowers the costs of managing multiple data management platforms, providing bi-directional, heterogeneous replication, and synchronization across enterprise, client/server, desktop, and mobile systems.
The latest Sybase systems upgrades will enable Stradcom to deliver a highly reliable infrastructure for the LTO computer system. Stradcom Corporation delivers the LTO’s Driver’s Licensing System, Motor Vehicle Registration System, Law Enforcement and Traffic Adjudication System, Manufacturers, Assemblers, Importers, Dealers Reporting System and Revenue Collection System.
The continuing increase in the growth and requirements for the LTO information technology project has called for a reliable infrastructure in place.
The partnership of Stradcom and Sybase addresses the commitment of Stradcom to the LTO by effecting an upgrade on the LTO IT system to meet present and future needs.
“We are fulfilling our commitment to deliver only the most reliable IT system for the LTO and thanks to Sybase, we will deliver this commitment with utmost efficiency,” said Mike Dalawampu, Stradcom’s vice president for project oversight and technical division.
